The digital slot car system of Ninco has been released at the end of 2006. The other brands were already on the market with a digital system at that moment. The expectations were very high. Ninco did a good job, but sadly did not manage to release a system without technical failures.

This age Robert Schleicher has produced his fourth book about slot car racing. The title 'Slot car racing in the Digital Age' could be misleading for some readers. The book handles everything about modern slot cars and home racing tracks and is not focused on digital slot racing only.
Racing in the streets is getting more popular every day. More and more Formula One races are organized in the streets. In 2008 they race beside Monaco also in Singapore and Valencia. Also special motor sport events are brought to the streets of Moscow, Rotterdam and Kiev. It is a small step from real racing to slot car racing. I decided to follow the trend and build a track inspired by a virtual city.
Slot car brand Ninco has made another model from the popular Japanese GT championship. Earlier Ninco produced the Honda NSX, Toyota Supra and the Nissan 350Z. The Lexus SC430 is the right car that fits to this line of cars.
The American Company Aurora is well known for their HO (1/87-scale) line of slot racing products. John Cuomo, Abe Shikes and Joe Giammarino founded Aurora at the beginning of the fifties. The Company was active in the hobbycraft line.
From the beginning Fly has executed the cars with all the details you want. Other companies followed and for that reason Fly is responsible for the raising level of detailing in the slot car branch at the end of the nineties.
After the blue Sony rally car and the Catalunya special edition Ninco has released another Golf, but this time a street version. In the real world the Volkswagen Golf is one of the biggest selling cars around Europe.
