Permanent racetrack
The name of my permanent racetrack is "Pleasuredome", because model car racing is almost the ultimate activity.
At this moment I own two tracks. I started with a Ninco track, which I still use as a test track. For my permanent track I use track pieces of Scalextric Sport.
Different designs
In the course of time I have changed a few times my track layouts. On this page you can check out the different designs:
Pleasuredome 1
Pleasuredome 2
Pleasuredome 3 - part one
Pleasuredome 3 - part two
Pleasuredome 4
Lap-Counter
Racing is fun, but you get more pleasure if the laps are counted. For my Ninco track I use the excellent Pole Position lap-counter. On the Scalextric Sport track the laps were initially counted by Race Management System. In my opinion the RMS system is not reliable for serious racing. For that reason I use nowadays the DS-Racing Pro 200.
Layout-Design software
The Ninco tracks are designed with Trackmap V.2000, the layout-design software of Ninco. RMS is used for the Scalextric Sport tracks. I also frequently use the freeware programs Slotman and Trackdesigner.
Power supply
On both tracks I use two standard adapters that are offered by the brand it self. At the Ninco track I connected the special track section (no. 10410, the independent power per lane straight).
Controllers
Two Vario 16 controllers are used at the Ninco track. I connect Economy (45 Ohm) controllers of Parma to the Scalextric Sport track.
Scenery
For the right atmosphere on the track I use model buildings, stands, public and tire-walls of Scalextric, SCX an MRRC. The track lights of Art-Kit create the special atmosphere of night racing.
