At the end of December 1993 Ninco released its first slot car. The Renault Clio got a warm welcome from the slot car enthusiasts. After the release of two other types, the DTM (German Touring Car Championship) Alfa Romeo 155 and AMG Mercedes 180-C, nine slot cars were available. In 1996 the first release of the Ninco classic-series is the Ferrari 166-MM.

Ninco standard controllers

If you compare the standard controllers of all makes you conclude that the standard controllers of Ninco are the best. I like the feel of Ninco's standard controllers over Scalextric's for example. Ninco's 70-Ohm controllers have a built-in braking system. The expensive Vario 16 of Ninco, available from 1999, is according to my opinion not the best there is. I think that most experienced slot car racers prefer Parma controllers above all.

Autopista is a 15-meter Ninco Digital track. The track is designed in order to let small children and beginners to have fun with slot racing. The bends are not too difficult and the power is adjustable.

The digital slot car system of Ninco has been released at the end of 2006. The other slot car brands were already on the market with a digital system at that moment. The expectations were very high. Ninco did a good job, but sadly did not manage to release a system without technical failures.

How did Ninco develop in designing slot cars?

After the release of the Mercedes CLK DTM "Original-Teile" in 2001 the moment has come to compare this car to the Ninco Mercedes C-class, that has been released in 1994.
At the end of December 1993 Ninco released the first slot car (Renault Clio) soon followed by the two cars from the German Touring Car Championship, the Alfa Romeo 155 and the Mercedes C-Class. In 2001 Ninco has released about 240 slot cars in just eight years. Of course, not all slot cars are unique models, but all are different printed.

The Ninco Catalunya models

Ninco releases every year a special model during the Catalunya-Costa Brava Rally organized by the Reial Automobil Club de Catalunya. In 2004 the Renault Super Clio 1600 got the special livery. The first model of this series was also a Renault Clio, but that was the first model of the Clio.

The Formula-1 cars of Ninco

The last few years the detailing of slot cars has increased to a very high level. All major model-racing companies offer exiting Formula-1 slot cars. At this moment Ninco offers five different models.
The first Formula-1 model of Ninco was the Ferrari F-310. The model is available since 1998. If you want to enjoy the racing experience of a Ferrari it is possible to drive the number 5 car of Michael Schumacher and the number 6 car of Eddie Irvine.

The new Seat Cordoba of Ninco is an all-wheel-drive car. The NC1 motor is powerful enough and the car sticks well. The handling is great in the turns. The interior features Ninco's standard driver and navigator. The tampo printing is good, although the yellow coat on the dark blue body needs a second layer of paint.
