Más Slot, the best magazine about model car racing, is printed in Spain since the summer of 2002. From April 2003 on the monthly magazine is also available in English. Más Slot is of interest for both racers and collectors. The in-depth information goes with excellent photographs.

The oldest magazine about slot car racing is Scale Auto Racing News. The first issue of the magazine is published in 1979. John Ford is the founder and editor of SARN.
John Ford wrote in one of his online publications the following about Scale Auto Racing News: "I had big aspirations back in 1979 when I started publishing SARN, the slot car magazine for the new era of slot racing. I had dreams of selling thousands of magazines and single handedly bring the sport of slot racing back to the prominent place it deserved.

Model Cars

Model Cars was one of the best magazines about model cars in Britain. The magazine offered articles about slot car racing and information about die-cast models. The monthly magazine was available in Great Britain, the United States and Canada.

Model Car Racing

The American magazine Model Car Racing is published by Robert Schleicher, the author of two recent books about slot car racing. The subtitle of MCR describes the contents of the magazine: "Racing replicas of real cars on home slot car tracks".
Although you can find an HO-section in the magazine, the greater part of the contents deals with 1/32 scale cars.

Spain is the home of modern model car racing. Many (new) manufacturers, such as Fly, Proteus and Ninco, are based in and around Barcelona.
In Spain there is a market for magazines about our hobby due to the big number of slot racing enthusiasts in that country.

Miniauto Slot

Miniauto is originally a Spanish bimonthly that is divided in two parts. One part is focused static models and the other section covers slot cars. Miniauto started at the end of 2004 a magazine totally devoted to slot car racing.
The first issue of Miniauto is published in 1994. The magazine from Madrid serves collectors of static models and brought interesting articles about slot cars. Miniauto was for many years the only magazine about slot car racing that you could find in a Spanish kiosk.

Car-On-Line is a German magazine about slot racing. The first issue has been published in March 1991. Until 2001 57 magazines were published.
This Magazine is mainly aimed at the general German market. The slot car manufacturer Carrera is very popular in Germany. In COL you find many editorials about Carrera and Marklin (a brand from the old days of slot racing).
The Magazine looks old fashioned but the articles are very up-to-date. New slot cars are reviewed and many stories are being told about vintage models.
It is possible to order an issue through the Internet.
