Proteus is a new slot car manufacturer

Proteus is a new slot car manufacturer that entered the scene. Proteus has chosen for its first model a concept car. The Pregunta is a creation of Group Henri Heuliez Torino.

Pregunta

In Spanish Pregunta means question. To race or not to race, that's the question, because the driver is missing. I think that every slot car racer would have preferred a driver figure in the scale model.

Booklet with photographs

The Proteus has included a small booklet with photographs, information and general specifications about the original car and the reproduction. By giving this excellent service it is easy to conclude that this scale model is a very good reproduction of the original.

Very fast slot car

On my Ninco track the Pregunta is very fast. Out-of-the-box this slot car is rather noisy. The magnet is strong and - according to my opinion - for this reason not very challenging to drive.

Electrical connection

The electrical connection is done by metal strips, so no wiring. The high quality detailed model is equipped with a SCX kind of guide. The gearwheel is covered inside with transparent plastic. The balance of the car is good though the driver should be aware of oversteering.

Rather expensive

This model is rather expensive but could be very attractive to collectors of slot cars.
