With the Opel V8 Coupe Scalextric confirms that its new generation slot cars are of the highest order. Scalextric has created another high quality product.

Available in two versions

The Opel V8 Coupe is available in two versions, the red "Sport Bild" and the yellow/white "Opel Service". The tampo stamping of both cars is of the highest quality. You will find on the front, the rear and side (rims) metal details. The mirrors can easily be removed if your little nephew wants to race on your track. I expect that other firms will copy this on their models.

Magnet can be placed in different positions

The small magnet can be placed in three different positions. Standard the magnet is placed at the back position. A self-centering guide makes the car easy to re-enter the slot. According to my opinion the only minor item on the car are the LED headlights. Not only the headlights are lighted but also the complete front of my number seven Opel V8.

Compare handling of this Opel

You can compare the handling of this Opel to the Cadillac LMP. On the track the Opel is smooth and very quick. I have tested the car with the magnet in different positions. I prefer (tested on my Ninco track) the magnet on the standard position.
