Inspiration for moviemakers

Steve Poster Racing has always been a source of inspiration for moviemakers. The films Le Mans and Grand Prix are the best films about racing. Many movies followed, like Days of Thunder and Driven, but did not bring the success the producers hoped for. The new movie about Michel Vaillant has all the ingredients to become a hit among race fans.

Le Mans

An American race car driver, starring Steve McQueen, returns to competition a year after a motorcar accident. As he faces his chief rivals in the famous Le Mans race, he also begins a new romance with the wife of a driver who died in the same crash that nearly killed him.
The story is subordinate to the racing action with wonderful cars like the Porsche 917. The movie brings you the excitement that you can experience when you visit the 24 hours race. The movie, which has been recorded in 1970, is a source of inspiration among slot car enthusiasts around the world.

Special atmosphere

Le Mans dvd French Kiss On your track you can recreate the special atmosphere of Le Mans in the seventies, because Fly car model offers many models that participated in the race of 1970. Two cars of the special "Steve McQueen Collection" of Fly have participated in the race: the famous Gulf Porsche 917K of John Wyer Automotive with the number 20 (SM3) and the blue Flunder camera-car (SM2).

Michel Vaillant

Michel Vaillant In the late fifties the cartoon character Jean Graton created Michel Vaillant, who has won all race titles. The comic books have been published in French, Dutch, Italian, German, Polish and Portuguese. Strangely enough, the books are not published in English. The cartoon character becomes the subject of a film directed by Luc Besson. Sagamore Stevenin plays the leading part (Michael Vaillant) in the movie. Both cars, the Vailliant with a Lola LMP675 and Panoz LMP01 of the rival team Leader, have participated in the real race of Le Mans 2002.
