Special model
Ninco releases every year a special model during the Catalunya-Costa Brava Rally organized by the Reial Automobil Club de Catalunya. In 2004 the Renault Super Clio 1600 got the special livery. The first model of this series was also a Renault Clio, but that was the first model of the Clio.
Competition
A big slot race competition is organized every year during the RACC Catalunya rally. Ninco sponsors the competition. About 350 participants register every year for the well-known race in Spain. Parallel to the special edition model Ninco gives the finalists of the competition the model with a special decoration on the roof. Only a limited number (approximately 50) of these models are released every year and the cars are not for sale.
1994 Renault Clio, ref. 50108
The first model of the Catalunya series was released in 1994. Only 1800 units of this model are made. The number that is printed on the models represents the year of the RACC race. The Renault Clio was executed with the white "OZ-racing" hubs. The model was presented in the cardboard box.
1995 Toyota Celica, ref. 50118
In 1995 Ninco released a few versions of the Toyota Celica GT-Four. The real model was active in the WRC championship. The Catalunya version was executed in blue with yellow stripes. The model was presented in the small plastic box.
1996 Peugeot 306, ref. 50128
The yellow Peugeot 306 became the model of 1996. In that year the thirty-second edition of the rally was organized. The famous FIA logo was printed on the roof of the car.
1997 Ferrari 166 MM, ref. 50136
The choice of Ninco to bring the Ferrari 166MM as the special model for the series was a not very logical. The previous cars could have participated in the race, but the Ferrari showed to be an exception. In the white Ferrari was executed with a co-driver that holds the pace notes.
1998 Renault Megane, ref. 50161
The model that was expected the previous year became the model of 1998. The original Renault Megane model was release in 1997 was very successful on the tracks since its introduction. The Catalunya model got the unusual combination of the colors gold and blue.
